.crazy updates!.

So I feel that if you miss a day you miss a whole lot!!! Which you all have, perhaps I should update you.

First off we ended up selling Eddie. :( Sad I know, but it is for the best. I was seriously going nuts! (I guess I realized that being crazy is sometimes not a good thing!) Plus Steve's allergies were going off the charts. We got Chuck because he doesn't shed, which seems to be working. We posted him on KSL.com and got about 60 phone calls on him. This made me feel good ofcourse becasue I could actually pick out a good family. I feel that we got that for him. A cute family that moved from Flordia ended up buying him, they were all in love. Makes me feel better. *Note to self: Don't go look at dogs "for fun" because you will end up getting one for sure!*

Secondly we had a scare in the Beardshall family when we found out that Joanne (Steve's mom) went for a check up and was told that she needed emergency surgery becasue they though that she had cancer! We are so lucky to say that she doesn't but what a close call! She went to the Doctor on Thurdsay early afternoon, was told she needed surgery, had to do a bunch of prep, was told surgery was at 10 am and didn't go back until 1 pm! She said that since she wasn't expecting it, all she had the day before was a muffin for breakfast. Since I was at the hospital already I met them up there to eat my lunch. She said that she dreamed a pizza all night, which is pretty werid since she is not a pizza person. I am glad that everything is okay! Things that I like most about Joanne is her sense of humor and the fact that she is so darn easy to talk to about anything! I'm glad that I have such great in-laws!

The battery was dead in my camera so I don't have any new pics to post, but dont worry we have a long weekend ahead of us....stay tunned!

.you have a friend in Filmore.

Grandma and Grandpa Beardshall had a great idea to go down to Filmore, Ut for a fun family weekend together. Some of the family is from there so they thought it would be a good experience to go down there. Who knew you could have so much in Filmore. Steve and I left after work on Friday and met everyone at a 50's diner and car hop for dinner. Most everyone went down earlier in the day. We ate there and hung out. When we got back to the hotel we took Chuck on a walk with Spencer and Jennie and their dog Max. By the time we got back we were all so tierd we called it a night.
The next day we went 4 Wheeling all day long, we all had a good time, even Aunt Elaine who ended up crashing her's!!!! The rest of the day was spent shopping, eating and hanging out. That night we went and got sandwiches and took them to the park. There we hung out and played a little of everything; soccer, football, and volleyball.
The next morning we all got up and ready and headed to church. That poor ward had to actually open their overflow for us. I think we had 26 people total! Thanks Grandpa and Grandpa Beardshall for the great idea of going down there. Thanks Grandma B for being the party planner and organizing this trip!
Takin' a break. I think that my behind is asleep in this picture. We had to take a break to streach our legs
Matt and Chris make this look easy
This is Dezi and her cute friend Mckenley. I am pretty sure that I spelled both of those wrong! These girls did a great job. The thing that I thought was so cute is that they kept looking back to make sure Team Amy was doing okay
Wendy really did have a good time! Ha, I think that Steve caught her off guard with this picture
Chris and Jordyn hangin' loose. I think the only time I saw Chris and Jordyn is when I was eating their dust! Chris was haulin' but he said that it was all Jordyns fault since she kept saying to go faster. Sure Chris, blame it all on Jordyn!
Roger and Carter. I think at one point Roger had to have Carter get off and walk since he was afraid that they would tip. No wonder we didnt know where they were!
Steve and I sporting our hat hair! I think it will be the "in" thing now
Taking a break
If you can imagine Carter making motor cycle noises right now, since that is exactly what he is doing. What is it with boys and sound effects?
Steve, Roger, Uncle Rob and "little" Amy
Steve riding David's bike
David riding Steve's bike. Same story with David, when he was on his bike I think I saw him about once because I was eating his dust as well! He is a crazy kid. Uncle Rob kept telling him to slow down and that he didn't want to scrap his body off the road!
Lunch break, all this 4 Wheeling made us all hungry
"little" Amy posing for the camera
This is poor Aunt Elaine's arm. The story behind this is quite funny looking back. She went out with the second group in the afternoon. Everything was going good until Aunt Elaine rolled the "un rollable" 4 Wheeler. (A side note is that the lady that Grandma B rented all the 4 Wheelers from said that "you can't roll these things, that would be a first")From what I got she was on a hill and started to roll back, and instead of putting it in first gear and going it rolled back and caught a bump in the road and pinned poor Aunt Elaine againt a tree. Some of us were in the hotel lobby talking when David ran in saying that she had been in an accident and that her arm looked really werid! We were all really worried until we found out that she was feeling okay and that she wanted to wait to get it looked at a day later if it still looked bad. Luckily it looked a lot better the next day (when the picture was taken). Steve said that Elaine was a trooper. He said that all he saw was a 4 wheeler pinned against a tree with Elaine's legs up in the air. All he could hear her saying is that "I'm okay, I'm okay!" What a story. At least it is something that we can all laugh at now that she is okay. I am probably going to get this wrong (Roger correct me if I am) but this house was built by Roger's great grandfather, which would mean that it was Steve's great great grandfather. It has since been turned into a bed and breakfast. Grandma and Grandpa B got all the "kids" a room there. Grandma and Grandpa stayed with the rest of us at the Hotel.

This is a group shot taken after church. Of course Steve and I are not in our sunday clothes becasue Steve can't stay in them for more than 5 minutes! We had a great weekend in Filmore, who knew!
This is Steve, Joanne and Roger doing their best impression of the picture below.
This is a picture of a picture. Steve's parents have this hanging in their house. The family gave the bed and breakfast a copy to keep there. This is the family. I will get the details of who exactly everyone in this picture is later. The gentelman is the great great grandfather and his family.
This is the family doing their best impression. From left Steve and Melanie Poulsen, Grandma and Grandpa Beardshall, Roger and Joanne and Elaine and Rob Beardshall. I think that Uncle Steve wins the best face prize, his is the most like the picture above
Another angle of the group
Steve's cousin Spencer and his dog Max
TEAM AMY!!!! We had a great time riding the 4 Wheeler the day before!

.one step closer.

This is our Pets Mart training class. It was every Thursday night and we had a blast. It was pretty much our date night since we never saw each other during the week! Steve really wants chuck to be a therapy animal up at the hospitals. One class down a few to go!

I think that I was the only one in the whole class that was willing to put on the graduation cap! Don't I look cute though? Our little Chuck is growing up so fast and graduating from obedience class already! Don't worry we know that Chuck is a dog and not one of our kids!
This is the whole class!
Sorry I cut your head off Joanne!

.party in the park.

The Olson’s invited us to the park to celebrate Jordyn’s 4th birthday! I can’t believe that she is 4! She was born about a week before Steve purposed to me. Come to think of it TJ was born about 3 days after we met so I guess we will always have an easy way to know our dates! I can’t even believe that I didn’t even get a picture of the Birthday Girl! These two were just too distracting for me! If you will remember that the last post of these two was right after they were born my how they have grown! Their personalities are starting to show. Grayden is much more content to say put, while Paige is a wiggle worm! She was harder to get to look at the camera!

.that's all folks.

So I finally graduated from my Alcohol and Drug Abuse Treatment Program. No, I was not in rehab! This was a 3 semester program that I started last August. It was the hardest thing that I have done up until this point! The first semester was great; it was the last two that were really hard for me. By that time I had work, school and an internship at First Step House, which meant that I was leaving for work at 4:30 am and returning home anywhere between 8-10 pm. Those were really long days! But I am done now. First Step House offered me a job but I didn’t feel that it was for enough money. That it the only problem with State funded facilities! I am looking now, but to be honest it’s nice to just go to work for now. I will figure out what the future has in store for me after I have a week or two of rest! My ultimate goal is to get my masters in Social Work but I am so burned out from school right now that I will have to put that on hold!
Steve had to come straight from work, I can't complain because I think that he looks good in uniform! Mom and Katie were so nice to come. We picked up Katie on the way at her salon Star 21 in Sugarhouse. It was fun to see where she works. Mom was so nice to get me a gift certificate to get a pedicure! Thanks mom!
Roger and Joanne also came, which was so nice of them. They gave me some cute PJ's from Old Navy. Their note said that I needed new PJ's since I could actually get some sleep now! Thanks again!

.new kid on the block.

So unknown to me, Steve has been looking for a “friend” for Chuck ever since we got him. This little guy is Eduardo. Well he is half Chihuahua so it makes sense to name him that! We call him Eddie for short. We are not sure what he is, my friend at work thinks he is a Chiwennie, which is half wennie dog and half Chihuahua. Who knows, but he sure is cute. Chuck sure seems to like him, so does Steve! The only thing that is really frustrating is the potty training. The good thing about Chuck is that he was potty trained in our condo right before we moved, so we really haven’t had any accidents with Chuck at our new place. I think that we are CRAZY for getting another but I can never say no to Steve’s puppy dog eyes!

.comin' to america.

Doesn’t that Neal Diamond song Comin’ to America remind you of the 4th of July? Roger and Joanne were nice enough to invite us all over for the celebration. The city of Holladay does fireworks right across from their house, which is really convenient. We had a good old fashion American BBQ. It’s always so nice to get together with family. And as always Uncle Rob made sure that we didn’t get lost in the crowd with our glowing attire! I must admit that I still love things that glow!
Uncle Rob and Aunt Elaine
Me and the girls, from left Aunt Melanie, Robyn, Grandma Beardshall and yours truly
Just hangin' around waiting for the fire works

I couldnt get NaeNae or Ken to open their eyes! This is my last and final shot of them, I give up! Ha Ha

.weekend getaway.

We decided it was time for a long weekend trip by the time is was almost the 4th of July! Steve had mentioned that he wanted to go to Moab and they jumped at the opportunity. We stayed in a cabin, not quite like what you are probably thinking. It was very nice though, it had a queen bunk bed and a mini fridge. You had to walk to the bathrooms and showers. Roger sure thought we were roughing it! That is probably as close to camping as he might get! The only downer of this trip is that it was in July and it was 104 degrees outside. We would have gone to Arches but it was way too hot, we mostly did things that we could drive to in our car.
Church on Sunday was good and interesting all at the same time. It was fast and testimony meeting and I think that we were the only ones that were not dress patriotically! There was more depth to this meeting than the last one we went to in Moab, just ask Rachel and Davis! That is a story for later though. We had a really great time with Roger and Joanne, thanks for going!
PS this trip it didn’t rain, and no ones car broke down…go figure!

We stopped in 9 Mile Canyon on the way just for the fun of it. Gus thought it would be a good idea to get into the river. Chuck didnt seem to think so though.
This is a picture from our cabbin as the moon was rising. I left my shutter open so it looks like it is mid day!

This was at Hole in the Rock rest stop area
Roger, Joanne and Gus
This was a fun trail to Gemeni Bridges (spell check), the sunset was beautiful.
This is Baby Lionsback in Slickrock. Of course Steve had to try out the new car!
Dead Horse Point
We went on some pretty cool trails!
This is how chuck rode the whole way home! Poor thing, we got him groomed before (more like skinned!) before we left and they took it all off, they practically neutered him!
