Bloomers

Roger had a great idea a few weeks ago to bring the camera over to our Sunday dinner and take some pictures by the trees on their street.

They were beautiful and in full bloom....the only problem was the fact that these flowers smell just like dead rotting fish! Maybe I am overreacting but they do not smell good. If I'm not mistaken aren't flowers supposed to smell good?

At least we had a good time taking a quick picture!

I love these pictures because I couldn't get everyone to look at me the same time!
Grandma look up here, woo hoo....

Grandpa....hey Grandpa....over here...
I think people are genuinely interested when I am acting like a crazy person yelling and making funny noises what Katy or any kid for that matter thinks of me!

I think she found me mildly amusing at least!

Ahhh Perfect! And did anyone notice the stain on Katy's shirt? I guess we should have taken them before we ate dinner!

Im grateful for knowing these two. They are super great examples to us and now to Katy. If you'll notice Grandpa has family names in his shirt pocket because Roger and Joanne had gone with them to the temple the night before.

And I love this picture because of the same reasons noted above, but also for Rogers pocket shirts. He refuses to buy shirts unless they have a pocket so he can keep his glasses and pens in there! Ha....I don't think I'll ever forget that!

Katy even got to meet Lucky. The dog of a neighbors son I believe? Who knows Katy liked him regardless of who he came with.

Quack!

I thought it would be a good time to go and feed the ducks by my moms house. Katy is going to love this for sure! Maybe not?

That kid kept thinking we were trying to get her to eat all our old bread stumps! Mind you, she doesn't like bread in the first place. I always seem to think it's a good idea to feed her the sacrament bread...until she hits it away! This girl wont touch the stuff. I can guess where she got it from though. Sadly I did not like bread growing up. I remember just choking down PB and Js! I actually didn't really like sandwiches until I married Steve. I am SO weird! OH NO! Now Katy is too!

Needless to say she did like the ducks and the quacks, so we ended up having a good time...even if it was Steve and I that were doing the feeding!

Why bother?

Every morning I get up and straighten up the house. I clean the bathrooms and kitchen floor once a week. I do laundry. And I pick up Katy's toys. The only problem is that they never seem to stay that way. What's a toy if you cant play with it? But honestly why do I even bother? Bless her heart, I guess she just has too much fun for my own good!

Back to the drawing board....

Fun at Mom's

Like I mentioned before we had a great Easter. Mom made yummy lasagna and had us all over for dinner. She also gave all the kidos fun balls. We had an absolute blast throwing those things around in the front yard. Who knew you could have so much fun?

Can I just make note of this vest that Katy is wearing? I got this for her before it fit her. As you can see we are defiantly on the verge of growing out of it. I do think it's cute (that's why I bought it!), but she insists on wearing it ALL the time. I am almost afraid to open the closet doors when she is with me because she will immediately spot this thing and demand to wear it! So I know it doesn't match, but I'm not the one who picked it out!

Katy love's her cousins but she especially LOVES Gage!

Zach always seems to have a good time throwing everyone around...

It got pretty intense a few times!

Mr. Smiley!
One of those intense moments I was talking about!!!!

"Yeah I got it, thanks!"

We LOVE Aunt Katie!!!

Easters

We love Easters are our house!!! This year we actually had a reason to celebrate the commercialized side of Easter. Katy's finally old enough to get excited when there is a basket full of stuff just for her! The funny thing is that I had gone shopping about a month before and had her basket sitting on the counter full to the brim. Everyday she would take me in the kitchen and point out the fact that there was a basket full of goodies there. I just pretended that it didn't exist! Duh! Next year the Easter Bunny will have to be more careful where he is putting things. NOTED for sure!

We got to dye Easter eggs, and our faces...

We had our annual Easter Egg Hunt with Grandpa Roger and Grandma Joanne
Complete with Dora or "Dorie" shirt, as Katy calls it!

Books and a chocolate bunny (for mom)! Cadbury....YUM!

Eatin' some Jellies

Even though it looks like she is lovin' the chocolate bunny, this only lasted for about 3 minutes. She is just not a kid that loves candy. Too bad I had to eat it, I think I secretly got that for me anywho. Hey that is what good moms do, try to teach their kids how to share!

Daffodils!!!

If you were coming home from gateway and saw this on the side of the road, would you stop? I think Steve thinks I'm crazy sometimes (mostly because there were some shady characters walking around there)....but could you resist? At least he humors me, right?

My new favorite "cheesy" grin. Now I just need to get her to say cheese!

you can't resist the mommy!

Katy thinks that she can resist the mommy, but she CAN'T! See....

Katy: Not smilin' mom....
Mom: "Woo Woo....Owww....Hot Mamma...."

Katy: Nope! Not smiling...resist the mommy!!!
Mom: "Oh Yeah!!! Woo Woo....."

Katy: I cant resist the mommy!!!!
